‘Action-art’ makes splash

Splash Art Republic hits Brum

Birmingham is about to get messy – in the best way possible. Splash Art Republic has opened in the Jewellery Quarter, bringing the West Midlands its very first “action-art” experience.

Forget brushes and easels. This is art with attitude. Think paint cannons, pedal-powered spin tables and pour sessions that look more like a science experiment than school art class.

No rules, just colour

The new venue promises to let Brummies go wild with paint-splattering, squirting and splashing until a masterpiece (or glorious mess) appears. Protective goggles, ponchos and gloves are handed out so you can really let loose.

Studio boss Beau Norton said: “At Splash Art Republic, creativity has no rules. Birmingham is the perfect city for our next chapter, and I can’t wait to see the bold, rebellious masterpieces people create here.”

Nights out with a twist

Whether it’s a quirky date night, a birthday party with a difference or a boozy “sip and paint” with mates, the place is set up for fun. There’ll be themed nights, DJ sets and private hire for anyone wanting to make their own Jackson Pollock moment.

Director Jennifer Gilbert-Scott added: “After the success of Nottingham, bringing our action-art concept to Birmingham felt like the natural next step. We’re proud to be the first in the West Midlands.”

Book your messy masterpiece

Sessions must be booked online, with gift vouchers also on offer. The Brum launch marks the next step in Splash Art Republic’s expansion – with more paint-splattered party spots planned across the UK.

So Brummies, grab a poncho, ditch the brushes and get ready to paint the town – literally.
