Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull has opened a new, state-of-the-art mammography suite as part of a major investment in its diagnostic services.
Spire Parkway is part of Spire Healthcare, one of the UK’s leading independent hospital groups, operating 38 hospitals and more than 50 clinics nationwide.
Working with over 8,700 specialist consultants, Spire provides personalised care to more than 1.3 million patients each year and is the UK’s largest private provider of knee and hip operations.
The newly installed mammography suite at the Solihull hospital brings the latest digital breast imaging technology to the area.
The system produces exceptionally detailed, high-resolution images, improving early detection of breast cancer and other abnormalities while giving clinicians greater confidence in diagnosis.
Faster, more precise imaging also means patients receive results more quickly and experience shorter waiting times.
Designed with patient comfort in mind, the suite offers a calm, modern and reassuring environment for what can often be an anxious appointment.
The improved layout and advanced image-analysis tools also support smoother workflow for imaging teams, helping streamline the journey from screening to diagnosis.
The suite was formally opened by Sir David Sloman, Vice Chair and Non-Executive Director at Spire Healthcare, who joined the Parkway team in Solihull to mark the milestone.
