A Shropshire-based dog daycare and hotel is marking its 10th anniversary with a major investment in its future.

Dog hotel and daycare expands with second site at Upper Brockhurst

K9 Anytime, founded in 2015 by friends Tom Haynes and Luke Bird, has unveiled a second site at Upper Brockhurst, near Weston Park, enabled by a £250,000 investment.

The expansion comes in response to growing demand for its five-star services across Shropshire and Staffordshire.

State-of-the-art facilities

Three converted barns now house state-of-the-art facilities, including two outdoor paddocks, play equipment, relaxation rooms and a grooming studio alongside a pantry stocked with premium nutrition and treats.

Just months after opening, the new centre is already 65% full, as its original Higford site is nears capacity.

“When Luke and I launched K9 Anytime a decade ago, we wanted to create a challenger brand for our space that rethought conventional canine care,” said Tom, who runs the business with his wife and head of marketing, Isobel Allen.

“Since then, we have been uprooting antiquated tradition and rewriting the rule book when it comes to giving dogs what they need to live their happiest and healthiest lives.”

New jobs created as award-winning grooming team builds national reputation

The new site has created five jobs, taking the workforce to 17, including five specialist groomers.

Head groomer Abbie Mackintosh, who was recently named runner-up in the national Master Groom 2025 competition, added: “I was really pleased to bring a trophy back home to Shropshire and Staffordshire.

“We’ve got some amazing groomers here at K9 Anytime and we’re showing what we’re capable of on the national stage.”
