PHTA base in Birmingham’s burgeoning life sciences district – WM News image

The largest life sciences accelerator in Britain is opening soon in Birmingham.

Precision Health Technologies Accelerator (PHTA) is set to move into No.1 BHIC, a stunning new building on the Birmingham Health Innovation Campus (BHIC).

BHIC is part of the University of Birmingham (UoB)’s flagship life sciences cluster, fast becoming the epicentre of UK life sciences.

West Midlands News was given a sneak preview of the stunning new facility by PHTA chief executive, Professor Gino Martini, who you can hear more from in our video.

PHTA will move into No.1 BHIC, built by Bruntwood, in the coming weeks. Floors three, four and five will be occupied by PHTA, becoming home to around 20 SMEs in the life sciences sector, said Prof. Martini.
