Residents of Tidbury Green staged a Spring Bank Holiday fete to mark the 100th anniversary of St John’s Church.

Hosted in the church grounds and gardens, the Centenary Garden Fete drew crowds from across Solihull West & Shirley, offering a joyful celebration of community, heritage and togetherness. Local MP Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst joined residents to mark the occasion.

The event featured a variety of traditional attractions, from artisan stalls and classic cream teas to live Morris dancing and family-friendly activities. Children enjoyed games and entertainment throughout the afternoon, while visitors of all ages indulged in ice creams and browsed locally crafted goods.

Dr Shastri-Hurst said: “It was a real pleasure to join residents at the Centenary Garden Fete in Tidbury Green.

“Events like this are the heartbeat of our communities – bringing people together, celebrating local pride, and honouring the traditions that bind us.”
