Musk slams Farage

Musk backs rival movement

Elon Musk has attacked Nigel Farage’s stance on immigration, accusing the Reform UK leader of doing “almost nothing to protect Britain”.

The tech billionaire, who has increasingly weighed into political debates on both sides of the Atlantic, went further by throwing his weight behind a new rival group, Advance UK.

“Unfortunately, the reality is that Farage will do almost nothing to protect Britain. That is obvious,” Musk wrote on X.

He insisted existing legislation already allows for the removal of foreign nationals convicted of serious crimes, adding: “The government simply needs to enforce the law.”

Musk later reposted messages from Tommy Robinson promoting Advance UK, declaring: “Advance UK will actually drive change. Farage is weak sauce who will do nothing.” His explicit endorsement is a major boost for the fledgling movement and a direct snub to Reform UK.

Rupert Lowe pushes for mass deportations

Musk’s comments came as Reform MP Rupert Lowe doubled down on his demand for mass deportations of migrants linked to grooming gangs.

In a series of explosive posts, Lowe said anyone – particularly foreign nationals – who knew about relatives involved in child exploitation but failed to act should be removed from the country.

“If they knew, and did nothing, then yes. They should be removed from our country,” Lowe said.

“Deport them all. If that results in entire communities being deported, then that is what must happen. Obviously.”

He singled out Pakistani families, insisting even wives of offenders should be sent back if they were complicit.

“It’s shocking that Farage doesn’t agree,” Lowe added, revealing that the Reform leader had edited his speech in Essex to strip out the phrase “mass deportation”.

Deep rift on the right

The clash exposes a widening split within the right-wing parties. While Farage has built his platform on curbing illegal immigration, he reportedly told The Telegraph that Lowe’s rhetoric was “a very grave, dark and dangerous use of language”.

Lowe hit back, saying Farage’s stance was weak and that the party’s current immigration plan “is nowhere near enough”.

He called for the “mass deportation of every single illegal migrant” and even questioned legal immigration, arguing that those who failed to integrate or contribute should be expelled. “They ALL must go. Not some, ALL,” he thundered.

Tommy Robinson and Advance UK enter the fray

The row has emboldened far-right figures, including Tommy Robinson, who used the moment to promote Advance UK.

Tagging Lowe directly, Robinson urged him to defect alongside fellow Reform politician Ben Habib. “We will make Advance UK a household name in the next 12 months. We want a political home,” Robinson wrote.

Musk’s backing gave the new grouping immediate momentum. By aligning himself with Robinson’s campaign, the billionaire shifted attention away from Reform and towards an alternative force on the right.

Political storm intensifies

The intervention of the world’s richest man into Britain’s already volatile immigration debate has triggered a political firestorm. Critics warn his comments risk fuelling extremism at a time when tensions are already running high.

Meanwhile, Reform UK faces a dilemma. With its leader accused of weakness by both allies and opponents, and MPs openly calling for policies that would see entire communities deported,

Whether Musk’s endorsement pushes Lowe closer to Advance UK’s camp – or forces Farage into an even harder line – remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: the fight over immigration has just become even more toxic.
