Event boss excited ahead of awards on Friday Nov 21st
The man in charge of the 2025 Innovation Awards today hit previously uncharted levels of excitement.
Dr Richard Fallon, CEO of the Technology Supply Chain membership organisation, which runs the Innovation Awards, promised next week’s finale event would be “the biggest, the best and the most bold we’ve done to date.”

1,000 entries for 18 award categories
Winners will be revealed on Friday (Nov 21st) evening at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms. The event is being hosted by BBC radio host Phil Upton.
More than 1,000 entries were received for 18 categories, each of which has been narrowed down to five finalists by a detailed voting and judging process throughout the year.
Categories include Defence, Female, Young and Creative Industries Innovator of the Year. To see the full list, visit https://innovation-awards.co.uk/

Dressed in his trademark Gieves & Hawkes three-piece
“The Innovation Awards this year is going to be rammed,” gushed Richard, dressed in his trademark three-piece tailored suit, by Gieves & Hawkes, complete with fob watch.
“We had over 1,000 people take part. That was nailed down to a short list of 180. And then we got that down through voting to just 90 – 90 finalists who’ll be there on the night to find out if they’re going to scoop the win or not.”
He added: “It’s going to be the biggest, the best and the most bold we’ve done to date.”
Celebrating innovators from across the UK
The Innovation Awards recognise, celebrate and reward the businesses, organisations and individuals who are dedicated to innovation.
The awards are open to innovative individuals, businesses and organisations – including universities, local councils and catapults – based in the UK.
