Dudley MP Sonia Kumar is calling for urgent action to secure the future of the Ladies Walk Centre health clinic.

She presented a petition in the House of Commons which 1,600 of her constituents have signed demanding the centre stay open.

The petition calls for the Government to engage with the property’s owners, Dudley Council, and the NHS to cement its future.

Risk of closure

The Ladies Walk Centre is a health clinic and a cornerstone of the community, offering essential care and support to residents across the area.

The building also includes Sedgley library. The property lease is set to expire in March 2026 and there is uncertainty surrounding its renewal of the property lease.

Caring for Adults

The Ladies Walk Health Centre is located at Ladies Walk, Sedgley, Dudley and is part of the local NHS Trust although it is run by Dudley council.

It provides services for senior citizens and people with learning disabilities.

Sonia Kumar MP said: “I will continue to fight for the future of the Ladies Walk Centre and ensure that the voices of Sedgley residents are heard loud and clear in Westminster.”
