West Midlands Police has launched a hard-hitting radio campaign to persuade young people to stop carrying knives.
The ad, set to run on Mauer Media digital radio stations, features Nikita Kanda, who lost her brother to knife crime after youths mistook him for someone else.
Chief Inspector John Askew said: “It’s vital that families engage in honest, open conversations with young people about the risks and consequences of carrying a knife.”
Emma Russell, from Bauer Media, said: “We hope these adverts not only raise awareness but also empower other young people to speak up and choose a safer path.”
