A Birmingham performance marketing agency has reported record growth on the back of major client wins in the education, property and charity sectors.

SHC Digital, founded by Sally Hawkesford in 2019, saw revenues rise to more than £660,000 over the past 12 months – a 29% increase on the previous year. The business, based at Assay Studios, has expanded to a team of eight specialists and is continuing to grow.

Several new contracts

The agency has secured significant new contracts with South & City College Birmingham, Kings College London, Legal & General and Urban Bubble. It has also recently won the Citizens Advice young person energy saving campaign, due to launch this winter.

Sally said: “We’ve come a long way since I first started out on my own and now employ eight specialists at our Birmingham base. SHC Digital has created a niche in our field for being a brand performance marketing agency that brings together the full funnel marketing model, from organic social to paid media all under one roof.”

She added: “It’s an approach that is working, with fees up nearly 30% and new accounts being added all the time – especially in the education and property spaces where we really get underneath the skin of what our clients need to be successful.”

Commonwealth games

The firm has previously delivered campaigns for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, Selfridges and Greene King. Looking ahead, it is targeting a further 15% uplift in turnover by mid-2026, with two new jobs set to be created to meet demand.

Sally said the agency is continuing to focus on D2C (Direct to Consumer) markets and is investing heavily in skills and technology.

“You can’t just talk about the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), you must learn how to use it to maximise team output,” she added.
