The charity Molineux Sleepout returns this autumn.
On Friday November 14 Wolves Foundation and the Good Shepherd aim to attract a record number of participants for the seventh edition of this fundraiser.
More than £250,000 has already been raised since the sleepout launched, supporting both charities in delivering essential services for people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability in Wolverhampton.
Braving the cold in solidarity
This year’s challenge invites over 200 individuals to spend the night in the Stan Cullis Stand, braving the cold in solidarity with those facing real hardship.
Launched during Mental Health Awareness Week, the 2025 Sleepout highlights the vital link between homelessness, mental health and the increasing demand for support services across the city.
Tom Warren, general manager at Wolves Foundation, said: “Wolves fans and residents come together to forego their comforts for the night and raise awareness and funds for those facing difficult, complex challenges. We’re proud to partner once again with the Good Shepherd.”
Aiming for a record turnout
Tom Hayden, CEO of the Good Shepherd, called the sleepout a “stand-out event” that enables both charities to continue their frontline work, including street outreach and mental health support, adding: “It would be fantastic to hit a new milestone with the most participants we’ve ever had.”
This year’s launch also celebrated those who’ve benefitted directly from the two charities.
Bev Lockley, now active in Wolves Foundation’s community groups, credited her recovery to the support she received: “Wolves Foundation means the world to me. They helped me find myself again.”
Vicky Mosedale, a former Good Shepherd service user, is now a trainee keyworker.
Changing lives for the better
She said: “I’m proof that recovery is possible. The money raised from the sleepout changes lives.”
