Wolverhampton has been ranked among the top 10 cities in the UK for convertible car owners, thanks to its favourable summer temperatures, mild winds and generous sunshine hours.

According to new research by car leasing experts at Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, the city placed ninth overall with an average June temperature of 19°C, 181 hours of sunshine and some of the lowest average wind speeds on the list at just 8mph.

The study assessed 20 of the UK’s most populous cities, scoring them on sunshine, rainfall, wind speeds and air quality to identify where convertible driving is most enjoyable.
