Flights in and out of BHX were resuming tonight after an emergency landing by a private jet forced the runway to close at the Midlands hub earlier today.
Around 100 flights were cancelled or delayed as a result of the incident at 1.40pm, bringing misery for some holidaymakers.
BHX said on X just before 8pm that “operations have resumed” and advised customers to check with their airlines for the latest information.
Even though the runway has reopened, delays are expected to persist as a backlog of late-leaving flights clears.
