Moda’s latest Makers Place development targets spring 2026 launch
A 772-unit scheme of built-to-rent dwellings is set to be unveiled in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter this spring.
The Makers Place development, built and operated by Moda alongside Apache Capital and investment partners Harrison Street and NFU Mutual, includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and penthouse homes.
Design and interiors
New imagery released this week reveals detailing throughout, with interiors designed to reflect the craftsmanship and industrial heritage of the Jewellery Quarter, developers said.
Architecturally, lower-rise brick buildings nod to the character of the historic district, while more contemporary elements on the opposite side of the development echo the neighbouring business quarter, a spokesperson for the scheme said.
Amenities and community spaces
As the modern city market expects, residents will have access to landscaped courtyards, rooftop terraces, co-working spaces, private dining rooms and a residents’ bar and lounge.
Wellbeing facilities include a 24-hour gym, fitness studio, cinema and bookable personal trainer sessions, with high-speed Wi-Fi included at no extra cost.
A neighbourhood on the rise
The development is two minutes’ walk from Snow Hill station and ten minutes from Birmingham New Street, said general manager Katie Hannibal, who added: “Every detail of Makers Place has been thoughtfully considered to create a place where residents can make their own stories and feel part of a vibrant community.
“We’re excited to share this first look behind the walls of our new neighbourhood and can’t wait to welcome our first residents and help them bring Makers Place to life.”
Makers Place is operated by Moda, whose The Mercian development was named the UK’s leading rental community at the Home Views Resident Choice Awards 2025.
