The final phase at Anchor’s Coles House and Mill Place in Sutton Coldfield has officially reached completion.
Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life, recently marked practical completion at its development of 85 Social Rent and 52 Older Person’s Shared Ownership one and two-bedroom apartments for people aged over 55, featuring a café, residents’ lounge, beauty salon, and landscaped gardens.
Construction of Coles House and Mill Place began in March 2024, and the first residents are due to move in soon.
The development has proven to be extremely popular with over 55s looking to relocate within their local community, demonstrating the strong demand for high-quality housing that enables older people to purchase or rent a home without moving far from friends, family and familiar surroundings.

The £35.9 million scheme has been delivered by Deeley Construction and is the largest value development delivered in its 90-year history.
