The biggest group of Kittitians arriving on a single flight will win a VIP airport welcome and exclusive tickets to Sugar Mas, the island’s Christmas carnival.

St Kitts is encouraging Kittitians living in the UK to gather their family and friends for a trip home this Christmas, with the launch of a new competition called the “SKN Jet Home” Challenge.

The challenge runs from 13 October to 30 November 2026 and is open to members of the diaspora who have already booked flights as well as those who have not yet booked. The prize will go to the biggest group arriving on a single flight.

To enter, diaspora members around the world are asked to share up to five photos telling the story of their group’s journey home, based on the theme “Our Way Home”. Suggested ideas include a countdown to arrival, a group shot of everyone flying home together, the group showing off St Kitts or Nevis colours and flags, and a preview of the food, music and outfits they are bringing for the celebrations.

Entries must be posted publicly, tag the We Limin’ pages and use the hashtags #SKNJetHome, #WeLimin and #StKittsAndNevisDiaspora, with a caption giving the size of the group and their flight.

The winning group will be welcomed on arrival with traditional folklore, including drumming, masquerades or steelpan, along with a meet and greet with Tourism Authority officials and a package of welcome gifts. Their homecoming will be photographed and filmed.

They will also receive exclusive Sugar Mas experiences, including two tickets each to Ms. Teen SKN, Soca Monarch, the Ms. SKN Queen Pageant, Panorama and Senior Calypso, plus two tickets to Sunset Fete and two Ready Fete Go packages.

Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism for St Kitts and Nevis, said: “The SKN Jet Home Challenge is all about reconnecting our people to their roots and bringing families and friends home to celebrate together. There is no better time to come home than festive season with its unique blend of Christmas and Sugar Mas, and this challenge strengthens historic bonds while encouraging travel that benefits both our people and our economy.”

Melnecia Marshall, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the St Kitts Tourism Authority, added: “Our diaspora represents one of our most important and resilient markets and is an essential part of the future of tourism in St. Kitts. We can’t wait to see the creativity and island pride in every entry, and to give the winning crew a true Kittitian welcome home.”

UK-based Kittitians who have not yet booked can find festive packages through Caribbean specialist Phun in the Sun (0113 833 0875 / phuninthesun.co.uk). Options include seven nights, room only, in a Deluxe Room with Queen Bed at Royal St. Kitts Hotel from £2,168.50 per person, and seven nights, room only, in a Mountain View Room at KOI Resort St. Kitts from £2,389 per person. Both prices are based on two sharing, cover 22 to 29 December 2026, and include return British Airways flights from London Gatwick and transfers.

The challenge is part of We Limin’, the St Kitts Tourism Authority’s diaspora programme, which launched in the UK in March 2026. The programme aims to help Kittitians abroad reconnect with their roots and stay connected to the island, while treating the diaspora as active partners in the growth of its tourism industry.

Kittitians in the UK can become Diaspora Members by signing up at visitstkitts.com/diaspora-program with proof of St Kitts and Nevis citizenship. Members receive benefits on the island, including discounted stays at participating hotels, reduced rates on attractions and activities, and regular updates on events and festivals.

Updates on the challenge are shared on the programme’s Instagram (@stkittsnevisdiaspora) and Facebook (weliminstkittsnevisdiaspora) pages.
