The Vyse Street family jeweller, which has traded in Birmingham for 55 years, will unveil its revamped store at an invitation-only event on Friday 6 November.

Newey’s Jewellers, the independent family business that has served Birmingham from Vyse Street in the Jewellery Quarter for more than half a century, is set to reopen following a complete refurbishment.

The store will relaunch on Friday 6 November at an exclusive VIP event for invited guests, where Birmingham chef Glynn Purnell, who earned the city its first Michelin star, will officially open it.

The redesigned shop has been planned around the customer experience. It now includes a hospitality area, VIP seating and a dedicated space where children can play while their parents browse.

One of the standout additions is a workshop that can be seen from the showroom floor, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes view of the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. The business has also overhauled its internal processes with the aim of providing quicker and more efficient service.

Newey’s employs a team of 25 craftspeople and specialists who design, make, repair and value jewellery on site.

Manish Jogia, managing director, said: “For 55 years, Newey’s has been part of life’s most treasured moments, building relationships and memories that span generations. Our vision is to honour that remarkable heritage while redefining the jewellery experience for the future. Because true luxury is not simply about the jewellery we offer, but how we make people feel. And our greatest legacy will always be the trust our customers place in us.”

The reopening has been timed ahead of the Christmas and engagement season. The store is launching new engagement and wedding collections, alongside a full range of ready-to-wear jewellery.
