Full candidate lists confirmed
Voters across Sandwell will head to the polls on May 7 after the official list of candidates standing in this year’s borough council elections was published.
The Statement of Persons Nominated, released by the council’s Returning Officer, confirms hundreds of candidates across all wards, setting the stage for a closely fought local contest.
Labour enters the election defending its dominant position, while the Conservatives, Reform UK, and the Greens are fielding extensive slates across nearly every ward.
Smaller parties and independents are also present, pointing to a fragmented and competitive ballot.
