Three new housing developments built by Bellway West Midlands have been highly commended at the inaugural Homebuilder Safety Awards.

The sites – Whitford Heights in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, Arden Glade in Keresley near Coventry, and Baldwins Gate Grange in Baldwins Gate, Staffordshire – all received recognition in the Best Large Builder category for the Midlands region.

The awards ceremony took place at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham. Launched this year, the Homebuilder Safety Awards celebrate safety across the housebuilding industry.

Nick Edmond, construction director at Bellway’s West Midlands division, based in Tamworth, said: “To claim a hat-trick of commendations at the first Homebuilder Safety Awards is no small achievement and is testament to the hard work, diligence and professionalism of our construction teams at the three sites.

“The safety and wellbeing of everyone who works on, or visits, a Bellway West Midlands site is of the utmost importance, and these achievements reflect the high standards we strive to set across all our developments.”

Bellway secured the top prize in the Best Large Builder category for the North, Midlands and South West regions.

The company also received highly commended status for an additional 10 sites nationwide, more than any other housebuilder.

Bellway West Midlands is currently building new homes across Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Derbyshire.
