Fundraising target exceeded in three-year programme

Pallet-Track has raised £89,000 or Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, surpassing its original £75,000 target set to fund a life-saving Critical Care Car.

The Wolverhampton-based pallet network spent the past three years running a structured fundraising programme, with donations directly supporting the operation of the charity’s Critical Care Car.

The vehicle plays a key role in the charity’s recently introduced nighttime service, allowing clinicians to deliver hospital-level care at the scene of serious incidents and providing 24-hour emergency cover across the West Midlands.

Long-term commitment pledged

Following the fundraising success, Pallet Track has pledged to raise a further £75,000 to fund the Critical Care Car for another three years. The commitment will take the company’s total fundraising contribution to more than £150,000 by the end of 2028, extending its partnership with the charity well into the future.

The announcement comes after Pallet Track received the charity’s Corporate Partnership Award at the Saving Lives Charity Ball. The business has also previously been recognised as an honorary Flight Patron, reflecting its sustained support and significant financial contribution.

Colleagues and partners drive fundraising

Fundraising activities included an annual awards gala and golf day, a hub-to-hub cycle ride, a charity casino night, volunteer days and shop donations. These efforts were supported by colleagues, shareholder members and network partners across the Pallet Track operation.

In 2025 alone, fundraising by staff and shareholder members generated £39,064, contributing significantly to the overall total. The company said the breadth of activities helped to raise both funds and awareness of the charity’s work across the region.

Chief executive Stuart Godman said the company was delighted to have exceeded its initial target and confirmed its determination to continue supporting the charity’s emergency response work, which brings specialist care directly to patients when minutes matter most.

Lifesaving regional service

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars across the UK’s largest air ambulance operating region. Since launching in 1991, the charity has attended more than 80,000 missions.

Its crews provide advanced trauma care at the roadside, in communities and in remote locations, giving patients the best possible chance of survival and recovery before reaching the hospital. The charity relies almost entirely on public donations and corporate support to remain operational.

Senior partnership executive Jon Cottrell said the funding raised by Pallet Track would keep the Critical Care Car on the road for another three years, helping the charity deliver lifesaving care where it is needed most across the West Midlands.
