The Dudley- and Tamworth-based consultancy brings in Lynn Campbell to head up new department
A fast-growing Midlands recruitment firm has made a statement hire with the launch of a new professional services arm.
MET Recruitment has appointed industry veteran Lynn Campbell to lead and grow its new professional division, ‘MET Professional,’ expanding beyond its established industrial and logistics offer.
The new arm will provide clients with access to temporary and permanent talent across professional services, HR, finance and procurement.
Based in Dudley and Tamworth, MET has built a strong reputation for a personalised, relationship-led approach. Its professional division is designed to bring that same ethos to a sector increasingly disillusioned with large, transactional agencies.
‘There’s a gap in the market’
Campbell brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, including senior leadership positions across the recruitment industry.
“There’s a real gap in the market,” she said.
“Professional recruitment is about deep partnerships. Understanding culture, strategy and what success actually looks like for a business. That relationship-first approach will sit at the heart of what we build.”
MET Professional targeting +£1m turnover
The ambition is bold. MET Professional is targeting £1m-plus turnover, supported by a dedicated team of three to four consultants by the end of the year, drawing on the wider business’s commercial expertise.
The division will recruit for interim and permanent roles, tapping into an existing pool of more than 100 candidates. Services range from shaping job descriptions and initial vetting through to executive search, headhunting and post-placement support.
Candidates are also a key focus, with interview coaching, career mentoring and discreet ‘opportunity hunting’ for mid and senior professionals exploring their next move.
While the initial focus is on professional services, HR, finance and procurement, there are plans to diversify into IT, sales and marketing recruitment.
MET Recruitment employs 23 people and enjoyed strong growth in 2025. With the Professional division now live, the business plans to increase headcount to 30 by year end.
