Law firm brings in Fiona Teague from Shoosmiths to drive regional growth

National law firm Mills & Reeve has appointed Fiona Teague as a commercial partner in its Birmingham office.

It said the move strengthens its Midlands offering as the firm looks to expand its regional presence.

Teague joins from Shoosmiths, bringing extensive experience across supply chain, consumer and retail, food and beverage, and technology sectors.

She has also held senior in-house roles, including European General Counsel and a position on the European executive board at IMI Precision Engineering.

She will join a 110-strong national commercial team, servicing clients on both a national and cross-border basis.

Teague said: “The Midlands commercial team is perfectly placed to capitalise on the rich opportunities the regional market has to offer.

“I am excited to be joining forces with Jayne and the team as we look to grow the firm’s commercial presence.”

Growing regional footprint

Jayne Hussey, partner and head of the Birmingham office, said Teague had “a strong local network and the skills and experience we need to expand our commercial footprint in the Midlands.”

Teague is also co-founder and chair of the Balance gender equity network, which promotes equality and diversity in the legal sector.

Her appointment follows that of partner Rachael Armstrong, who joined the firm’s Birmingham private client team late last year.
