Funding will support life-saving cardiovascular research and community education programmes across the UK

Maximus Foundation UK has awarded a £2,500 grant to the British Heart Foundation (BHF), the UK’s largest independent funder of heart and circulatory research.

The donation forms part of the foundation’s latest round of dedicated fundraising to support local and national charities. Since 2015, Maximus Foundation UK has awarded grants totalling more than £718,000.

Tackling a leading killer

Heart and circulatory disease remains one of the UK’s leading causes of death, claiming a life on average every three minutes. The BHF has spent more than 60 years funding pioneering research that has helped halve the number of deaths from such conditions in the UK, while also supporting the 7.4 million people living with heart and circulatory disease across the country.

The £2,500 grant will help fund cardiovascular research and provide practical education and support, including CPR training, to individuals and communities nationwide.

The grant was presented in person at a cheque ceremony by a Maximus Foundation trustee.
