Global tabletop giant brings 1,500 square metres of demos to the UK’s biggest board game festival

Asmodee is preparing to make a major splash at this year’s UK Games Expo (UKGE), with the global tabletop publisher and distributor set to occupy more than 1,500 square metres of floor space across 10 stands at Birmingham’s NEC.

The UK’s largest board game festival returns this summer, and Asmodee’s 2026 presence promises to be its most ambitious yet.

“Whether you’re picking up a board game for the first time or you’re a dedicated hobbyist chasing your next obsession, there’s something here for everyone,” said an Asmodee spokesperson.

Games for every player

Visitors can expect hands-on demos of more than 160 games, with staff and volunteers on hand to teach rules and recommend titles. Fan favourites including Dobble, Ticket to Ride, CATAN and Azul will all feature prominently across the stands, where attendees can also purchase games directly.

New for 2026

Two major additions headline this year’s show. The brand-new TCG Village will unite trading card game fans in a dedicated space, featuring Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Star Wars: Unlimited, Gundam and One Piece. A new Party and Play zone will also bring added festival atmosphere, incorporating a LEGO Zone, photo opportunities and discount vouchers.

Returning favourites and award winners

The popular Dobble van returns alongside a dedicated kids’ area and a life-sized Ticket to Ride: London bus photo opportunity. Asmodee also arrives celebrating five UK Games Expo Awards Judge’s Choice victories, including Battle of Hoth for Best Boardgame and Splendor Kids for Best Children’s Game.
