The UK’s fastest-scaling padel operator launches four-court facility at Moseley Cricket Club as part of ambitious regional expansion
Pure Padel has opened a new four-court facility at Moseley Cricket Club in Solihull.
This is the company’s first venue in the West Midlands and the beginning of a coordinated regional expansion strategy.
The new club features three covered panoramic courts and one uncovered court, with surfaces imported from Spain.
Building a padel network across the region
Pure Padel founder and CEO Sammy Arora said: “Solihull is the start of something we have been planning carefully. The West Midlands is one of the most exciting opportunities in UK padel right now and the demand here is real, from Solihull, from Birmingham, from across the region. We are moving decisively to become the leading operator here.”
A clubhouse, licensed bar, pro shop and free on-site parking are also available. Courts can be booked via the Playtomic app on a pay-to-play basis, with no membership required and prices starting from £28 per hour. Coaching, leagues and social events will be available for players of all levels, while the venue is also expected to attract corporate bookings and private hire.
Warwick next
The company has a site secured in Warwick, subject to planning, and a seven-court indoor facility due to open in Hockley, Birmingham later this year.
Since launching its first club at Alderley Park in October 2023, Pure Padel now operates eight clubs nationally, with further sites progressing in Glasgow, Liverpool, York and beyond.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, Solihull Council cabinet member for public health, said: “I’m delighted that this fantastic new padel facility has opened in Shirley. As padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, I’m confident the facility will quickly become much-loved and well-used.”
Arora, who is targeting 30 clubs before he turns 30, described the West Midlands as one of the most important chapters in Pure Padel’s national story.
