Aspire Pre‑Flight Hospitality (Aspire), Swissport International’s airport hospitality brand, has announced the official opening of its newly expanded lounge offering at Birmingham Airport.
Guests have the choice of three tiers of access:
- An extended, upgraded and fully refurbished Aspire Lounge. Featuring 135 seats and designed for all travellers, the lounge combines award-winning service, thoughtfully designed surroundings, and exquisite food and drink in one inviting space.
A brand-new lounge featuring:
- Luxe by Aspire which provides all the facilities that those travelling for business and upscale leisure would expect within an exclusive, private space. With 104 seats, guests can expect an upscale experience with more spaces to work, relax, and enjoy an enhanced F&B offering.
- Suite by Aspire crafted for the most discerning travellers. Featuring 52 seats and reminiscent of first-class air travel, Suite by Aspire offers guests exclusivity, à la carte menus, and personal table-side service from our award-winning hospitality team.
Borrowing from Birmingham’s cultural and industrial heritage, including the canal network and science museum, each space has been designed with a distinct sense of place. Bathed in natural light and calming tones to provide an air of serenity to the pre-flight experience, the new lounges benefit from work and leisure zones, runway views and dedicated toilet facilities.
James Millett, Director of Lounges UK&I and Global Customer Innovation at Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality said: “We’re delighted to introduce our proven Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire products to Birmingham in addition to a new look for our Gate 1 Aspire lounge. Birmingham’s investment plan and terminal work is creating significant opportunities for partners, travellers and our guests. With over 13m travelling in 2025 and significant future growth ahead, we look forward to welcoming guests in our latest design-led lounge with elevated food and beverage offering and our award-winning hospitality.”
Richard Gill, Commercial Director of Birmingham Airport said on the opening: “It is fantastic to see the two new Aspire lounge offerings at Birmingham Airport now open as part of our new commercial concourse. The two new lounges, Luxe and Suite, offer access for both families and business travellers across the two brands. These new lounges that complement the existing Number 1, Club Rooms, and the recently renovated Aspire lounge, serve an a la carte menu, premium beverages, dedicated washroom and table service in Suite and both have fantastic views across the airfield. We are delighted to have these lounges open and ready to serve our growing passengers base here at BHX.”
In the Aspire Lounge (South/Gate 1), introductory pricing starts at £42.99 for pre-bookings, £52.99 for Luxe by Aspire and £62.99 for Suite by Aspire. To book, please click here.
These latest openings are part of Aspire’s ongoing ambition to redefine pre-flight hospitality. Last week, Aspire unveiled a new lounge chair concept following a competitive design brief with BA Product and Industrial Design students from the world-renowned art and design school Central Saint Martins. The brief invited students to challenge conventional airport seating customs and push the creative envelope.
The winning design, by Aya Maria El Omeira, considers both the physical and psychological factors that impact travellers’ ability to truly unwind before a flight, with a modular, curved multi-seat lounge system that combines luxury, ergonomics, and durability.
