adi Group’s annual football tournament brought 24 teams to Star City, with Total Power Group lifting the trophy.

Birmingham engineering firm adi Group has raised £10,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity after staging one of its biggest ever five-a-side football tournaments.

The event brought together 24 teams at Goals UK in Star City, Birmingham. Among them were three adi squads, as well as teams from Bowers Electricals Ltd and Rowland Door Services Ltd.

Total Power Group were crowned winners after an evening of competitive fixtures, with Gymshark finishing as runners-up.

The tournament has run for the last few years and has become a standout fixture in adi’s fundraising calendar, growing in scale, support and impact each year.

Alan Lusty, Founder and Chairman of adi Group, said: “Seeing 24 teams come together for our huge football tournament was fantastic. The charity’s work means a great deal to people across adi, and we’re incredibly proud to have raised £10,000 through this year’s competition. Thank you to every player and spectator who helped make the day such a success.”

Headquartered in Kings Norton, adi Group operates nationwide, delivering engineering expertise across the UK. The business named Birmingham Children’s Hospital as its Charity of the Year in 2023 and has since raised more than £258,000 for the cause.

As well as fundraising, adi Group supports the hospital through its technical expertise. Most recently, adi Intelligent Buildings installed a first-of-its-kind AI-powered occupancy system in the hospital’s emergency operating theatre. The technology automatically recognises when the theatre is in surgical use and when it can safely cut unnecessary energy consumption, improving environmental control and supporting more sustainable operation.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Donations can be made via JustGiving. To find out more about adi Group, visit adiltd.co.uk.
