Bradley Thomas, MP for Bromsgrove and the Villages, has been appointed to serve as Shadow Business Minister and Opposition Whip in Kemi Badenoch’s reshuffle.

The appointment follows Tuesday’s (September 1st) Shadow Cabinet reshuffle as His Majesty’s Most Loyal Opposition moves into its next phase.

Every member of the new intake who is able to serve has now been given a Shadow Ministerial role, giving a new generation of Conservative talent the opportunity to step up, bring forward fresh ideas and play an integral role in taking the party’s case to the country.

Before he was elected as the MP for Bromsgrove and the Villages in 2024, Bradley worked in global energy, and he will use his business experience in his new role as he holds the Government to account.

Bradley said: “Having worked in business before becoming an MP, I’m honoured to have been appointed by Kemi to serve as Shadow Business Minister.

“Businesses in Bromsgrove and the Villages and across the country are being squeezed more and more by this anti-business Government. Ministers need to get off businesses’ backs and get on their side.

“What this Government fundamentally doesn’t understand is that businesses are the engine of economic growth and job creation. We in His Majesty’s Most Loyal Opposition understand this, and the policies we’ll be developing will reflect this.

“I’m looking forward to using my business experience to hold the Government to account and working with colleagues to bring forward fresh ideas as we take our party’s pro-business case to the country.”
