Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) has announced the appointment of Naveen Gupta as finance director.
He succeeds long-serving chief financial officer Helen Bates, who is retiring after nine years in the role.
With three decades of experience in finance, Naveen has held senior positions at organisations including the Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board, the Royal Shakespeare Company, University of Oxford and B:Music.
Naveen has also worked in finance roles at Jaguar Land Rover and Prudential.
Originally from the East Midlands, Naveen studied at the University of Glasgow, where he gained a Master’s degree in International Accounting and Finance.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
