Green energy acquisitions and international expansion drive growth at Flowmax
Coventry-headquartered Flowmax Group has reported a 50% increase in revenue over the past five years.
This includes an 18% rise in its most recent financial year, as the specialist fluid technologies business accelerates its push into green energy, water and overseas markets.
The group operates as an investment and operational partner for owner-managed businesses in the fluid technologies sector, providing capital, hands-on support across marketing, HR, finance and mergers and acquisitions, while allowing founders to retain day-to-day control.
Graham Morrell, chief executive of Flowmax Group, said: “Our growth comes from staying true to our model. We partner with exceptional owner-managed businesses in fluid technologies and provide continuity and opportunity, helping owners realise value while continuing to run their business day to day, backed by the resources of a wider group.”
Green energy and water sectors fuel momentum
In 2025, Flowmax strengthened its green energy credentials through the acquisition of Helec Ltd by its group business Essco Group. Helec brings more than 17 years of expertise in combined heat and power systems, district heating, packaged plant rooms, and maintenance contracts.
The group has also marked the first anniversary of B&D Plastics, a Colchester and Aldridge-based specialist in plastic pressure pipework for water treatment and chemical processing, joining its portfolio.
Flowmax has further established a regional distribution hub in the Middle East to support international customers and underpin global growth ambitions.
Morrell added: “Over the past year, we have strengthened our international platform, expanded in green energy, and continued to grow in water, all designed to support long-term, sustainable growth and create brighter futures for our businesses.”
