Cov’s Manufacturing Technology Centre named 2025 ‘Manufacturing Innovation Champion’

A cutting-edge Coventry tech organisation that helps firms modernise their processes was tonight named “Manufacturing Innovation Champion” at the 2025 Innovation Awards.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) received the prestigious accolade, after a year-long process of voting and judging, at a finale awards dinner attended by 500 people at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham.

The MTC drives innovation by blending cutting-edge technologies, expert minds and radical collaboration.

More than 9,000 projects delivered

It supports UK industry through advanced manufacturing, digital transformation and sustainable solutions. MTC empowers businesses to solve complex challenges, enhance productivity and reduce costs.

With over 9,000 projects delivered, it fosters progress across sector, from medtech to aerospace, while training future talent. Its purpose-driven approach and state-of-the-art facilities position MTC as a catalyst for transformative change in manufacturing.

It helps manufacturers to explore areas such as automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, simulation, materials engineering, sustainability and net zero without having to invest heavily upfront.

The support MTC offers its clients ranges from early-stage ideas and prototyping through to scaling, supply chain improvement and workforce training. It makes innovation accessible to SMEs and large manufacturers alike.

Innovation Awards are open to businesses, organisations and individuals across the UK

Dr Richard Fallon, CEO of the Technology Supply Chain (TSC) membership organisation, which runs the annual Innovation Awards, said: “Congratulations to the MTC. We had more entries than ever before this year, and the competition for each category was stronger than it’s ever been.
