Organisers of Life Sciences Week (LSW26) have announced the first speakers for this year’s Launch Day Conference, with leading figures from the BioIndustry Association, Google Cloud, AstraZeneca, Pfizer and SAH Diagnostics confirmed for the Birmingham event.
The conference takes place on Monday 21 September at Millennium Point, Birmingham, and will bring together figures from biotech, pharma, healthcare, AI, diagnostics, research and technology alongside leading academic and clinical experts.
Confirmed speakers include:
Prof. Chris Molloy, Chief Executive of the BioIndustry Association (BIA), the national trade body for innovative life sciences and biotech companies, bringing leadership experience across biotech, diagnostics and pharma.
Nipun Jain, Head of Innovation Hubs & Partnerships for International at AstraZeneca, who leads the company’s A.Catalyst Network, working with health systems, governments and regulators to scale digital health and responsible AI across emerging markets.
Scott Gavin, Senior Director, AI Product & Innovation Studio Lead at Pfizer, who leads the team building an AI-assisted pipeline for Pfizer Digital, scouting and proving AI capabilities before scaling them across the company’s Commercial, PGS and R&D functions.
Sandeep Khanna, Managing Director at Google Cloud, responsible for pharma, manufacturing and energy, with more than twenty years’ experience helping organisations turn cloud and AI into business value.
Feroz Agad, Founder and CEO of SAH Diagnostics, who works with NHS Trusts across the UK on transforming cancer outcomes.
Professor Prokar Dasgupta, Professor of Urology and Robotic Surgery at The London Clinic, one of the world’s leading robotic surgeons for prostate cancer, who is advancing the role of robotics and AI in surgery and the future operating theatre.
Across the day, attendees will be able to hear from figures shaping the future of UK life sciences, discover emerging research and technology, meet organisations investing in and deploying new solutions, visit an exhibitor hall, and build connections across industry, healthcare, research, investment and academia.
