Chiltern Railways customers are urged to check before travelling as timetables change this Sunday.

Three new Saturday services are being introduced with the aim of easing pressure on Chiltern’s heavily used Birmingham-London line trains.

The additional Saturday services are: Banbury to Marylebone at 09.46 and 10.13, and Marylebone to Banbury at 17.37.

A small number of services are having their times changed by a few minutes with the aim of improving overall punctuality, Chiltern said.

Tony Baxter, operations director at Chiltern Railways, said: “Please check your journeys ahead of our upcoming timetable change this Sunday as some service times will change by a few minutes.”

He added: “To offer more capacity for our customers, we are introducing three additional Saturday services between Banbury and London Marylebone which should ease pressure on our trains to and from Birmingham.”

Train timetables change nationally twice a year – in May and December.
