Mass deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan also condemned

A UK-based refugee charity has strongly condemned reported civilian deaths in Afghanistan following military airstrikes attributed to the Government of Pakistan.

The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association described the loss of innocent life, including women and children, as unacceptable and a grave violation of international humanitarian law.

ACAA also criticised the mass deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan, stating that around 942,000 undocumented Afghans were reportedly expelled in 2025 alone, with millions more at risk. T

The charity warned that forced returns to Taliban rule place lives in danger, particularly amid reports of deaths during winter border crossings.

Government urges de-escalation

The organisation welcomed comments from UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, urging de-escalation and renewed dialogue. It called on the UK Government to pursue a diplomatic solution and defend the human rights of Afghan civilians.

Communities told to remain calm

Commenting on the crisis, Darius Nasimi urged British Afghan and British Pakistani communities to remain calm and united, stressing that communities in the United Kingdom should not be divided by tensions abroad.
