Alton Towers, Warwick Castle, Cadbury World and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham are among the attractions launching new Halloween experiences this autumn.

Spooky season has arrived, and Merlin Entertainments has revealed its Halloween line-up for 2026, with several of the region’s best-known attractions offering new experiences for thrill seekers and families alike.

Alton Towers Resort

Scarefest returns to Alton Towers Resort with an all-new scare maze, Final Exhibit. Guests are drawn from a seemingly ordinary artefact exhibition into the hidden archive of the sinister Curator, where they face his hypnotised Archivists and the prospect of becoming part of the collection forever.

The new maze joins returning favourites including COMPOUND, The Edge of the Forest and Altonville Mine Tours: Tiny’s Revenge, as well as scare zones Dark Hollow and Burial Ground. Younger guests can enjoy the family-friendly Trick O’ Treat Town and Amigos in the Afterlife, while a brand-new immersive dining experience, Dine with the Dead, is also on offer. Visitors can ride the Resort’s rollercoasters after dark.

Scarefest runs on selected dates from 26th September to 1st November 2026.

Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle’s Halloween season offers activities from morning until dusk. Daytime guests can explore Haunted Hollows and the silent Scarecrow Disco, and meet characters including the Headless Horseman and the castle’s Grave Diggers.

After dark, the castle takes on a more sinister tone, with three live shows for braver visitors and a festival atmosphere in the courtyard featuring DJs, live bands, circus acts and stilt walkers.

Daytime activities run from 24th October to 1st November, with After Dark experiences on 24th, 29th, 30th and 31st October.

Cadbury World

Freddo will host a live stage show at Cadbury World from 17th October to 1st November, packed with games, songs and spooky surprises. New for 2026, guests of all ages can take part in a Trick or Treat gameshow experience, where they must choose their door wisely.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham

Brick or Treat runs at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham from 26th September to 1st November. The event features glow-in-the-dark LEGO builds, pumpkin creations at the Pumpkin Patch, a Boneyard Hunt scavenger trail and the return of The Great Monster Chase 4D movie. The event is also running at the Manchester centre.

Elsewhere in the UK

Further afield, Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights marks its 25th anniversary with a new pitch-black scare maze, Tenement, in which guests navigate total darkness with only a shared handheld light while being hunted by live scare actors. Fright Nights runs on selected dates from 2nd October to 1st November 2026 and is recommended for ages 13 and over.

The London Dungeon is launching a new show, Curse of the Mummy, inspired by the legend of the “Unlucky Mummy”. It runs from 17th October to 1st November and is included with standard admission.

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s Brick or Treat returns on 10th and 11th October and from 17th October to 1st November, with the fan-favourite live show Lord Vampyre’s House Party. Chessington World of Adventures’ Howl’o’ween runs on selected dates from 3rd October to 1st November, and SEA LIFE Tricks & Treats offers ocean-themed activities for children aged 4 to 10 at SEA LIFE attractions across the UK on selected dates this autumn.
