Talbots Law expands footprint across Staffordshire and Shropshire as revenues rise by £11m in a single year

Employee-owned Talbots Law has reported revenues of £41m for 2025 – an £11m increase on the previous year driven by a series of strategic acquisitions and strong organic growth across the Midlands.

The firm, which operates from 19 offices spanning the Black Country, Birmingham, Cheshire, Coventry, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, completed three acquisitions during the year.

These included Onions and Davies in Market Drayton, Tinsdills Solicitors, a four-office Stoke-on-Trent practice with a £5m turnover, and Benussi & Co, a well-regarded Birmingham family law firm that will continue to trade as a standalone brand from its offices at 103 Colmore Row.

Chief Executive Dave Hodgetts said: “2025 was a defining year in our recent history, with turnover significantly surpassing our £36m budget.

“A pipeline of acquisitions continues to progress, with each one bringing either a new geographic presence or enhanced capability in a specific area of law.”

Business services driving growth

Alongside its acquisition activity, Talbots has invested heavily in its growing Business Services division, now operating under the strapline “Talbots Law: For Law. For Business.”

The team, comprising more than 100 specialists, operates across seven hubs in Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent, Stourbridge, Telford, Wolverhampton and Worcester.

Recognition from legal directories

The firm has received recognition in both The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Hodgetts added: “The business world has never been more volatile and the advice we provide has never been more important.“
