One Thousand Trades Group recognised for ongoing support for Army Benevolent Fund
Birmingham-based One Thousand Trades Group (OTTG) has been publicly recognised for raising more than £25,000 in the past year for the national charity of the British Army.
The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) provides a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.
Graham Whitehouse, regional director for the ABF, attended the OTTG’s Birmingham headquarters to present CEO Paul Cadman with a limited-edition plaque.
“Over the past 12 months, their efforts have raised more than £25,000, directly contributing to ABF’s mission of providing lifetime support to soldiers, veterans, and their families,” said Graham.
“This funding helps deliver vital grants, housing assistance, and welfare support, making a tangible difference to those who have served our country.

“The unwavering dedication of One Thousand Trades Group exemplifies the power of corporate social responsibility in action. Their partnership not only strengthens our ability to respond to urgent needs, but it also reinforces the values of community and service that underpin our Armed Forces.
“On behalf of ABF and the thousands of beneficiaries impacted by your generosity, thank you for everything you have done and continue to do.”
OTTG is already planning to raise more for the ABF, which provides vital support to British troops and their families when they most need it. The group’s fundraising goal for 2026 is £10,000, including via its Just Giving link: https://www.justgiving.com/page/ottg-abf-fundraising
Professor Paul Cadman, receiving the ABF plaque, said: “The remarkable sacrifice, professionalism and service that our armed forces exhibit day in day out, year in year out, is nothing short of breath-taking.
“It is only right that organisations like ours take tangible steps to support the brave men and women who serve King and Country, so all of us can continue to enjoy the freedoms we so often take for granted.”
OTTG is comprised of various companies, including Walk Through Walls, the political engagement and PR agency; Life Sciences Week, the annual health tech conference; the annual Innovation Awards event company; the 5,000-member Technology Supply Chain organisation; and online news site West Midlands News.
