Gemma Cardwell, founder of Gemma & Jodi’s Pet Services Ltd, has been named a finalist in the 2026 Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

She has been shortlisted in the Services Entrepreneur of the Year (Midlands) category.

Often described as the “Grammys of Entrepreneurship”, the awards celebrate the UK’s most exceptional business founders, recognising the resilience, innovation and leadership required to build successful businesses.

The recognition caps an extraordinary year for the South Warwickshire company, which has also won the Pet Products and Services Awards 2026 Best Pet Care Company for the West Midlands, and reached the finals of the Animal Star Awards, UK Small Business Awards, and North Cotswolds Awards across three categories.

A business built on community

Founded in 2021, Gemma & Jodi’s Pet Services has grown from a two-person start-up into one of the region’s most recognised pet care providers.

The business now supports more than 150 active clients, employs 12 animal care professionals, has created 10 local jobs and delivered more than 5,800 pet care appointments in the past year, achieving annual turnover of £239,784 and revenue growth of 18.6% year-on-year.

Cardwell said: “What started as a passion for helping pets and their owners has grown into a thriving business supporting hundreds of families across South Warwickshire.

“To be recognised on a national stage alongside so many inspiring entrepreneurs is an honour, and we’re incredibly proud to be representing South Warwickshire.”
