New leadership team appointed at annual general meeting

A wealth management specialist with more than 36 years of experience has been appointed president of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce.

Rob Page, of Rob Page Wealth Management, took over from outgoing president Richard Wileman at the Chamber’s annual general meeting (AGM) held at the Branston Golf & Country Club. Wileman will now serve as honorary president.

Rob’s career includes a nine-year tenure as managing director of Swinkels Family Brewers, where he led significant business growth.

New president sets out his vision

Speaking about his appointment, Rob said: “Burton has a brilliant business community, full of people who care deeply about the place they live and work. For me, this role is about connection, collaboration and making sure businesses of all sizes feel supported, heard and encouraged.”

Rob is joined by two newly elected vice presidents: Russell Jeans, CEO of senior recruitment firm Sefton Recruitment, and award-winning coach and counsellor Claire Reeves of Claire Reeves Consulting.

New council members elected

The AGM, sponsored by X Pro Learning Solutions, also saw five new members elected to the Burton Divisional Council: Imran Ahmed from IT Helpdesk Burton, Blu Hardy from Hardy Signs, Sarah Pritchard from Carrot Solutions, Amy Jacklin from Kids Village, and Caroline Fotheringham from the Sexual Abuse Rape Advice Centre (SARAC).

Head of Burton Chamber Richard Brooks said: “We are delighted to welcome Rob Page as our new president. We also welcome our new council members and look forward to working with Kids Village as our new chosen charity.”

Kids Village, which is developing the UK’s first holiday village for critically ill children and their families, has been confirmed as the Chamber’s charity of the year.
